I use terracotta clay to make most of my pieces. Then after kilning, I patinate them using a combination of metallic and matt spray paint, oil paint and shoe polish. In some cases e.g. "Dad" I made a plaster of Paris mould, which I used to cast him in Plaster of Paris before patination. However in others e.g. "Patrick" I made a plaster of Paris mould, but cast him in Fibreglass resin.

I use white earthenware clay to throw pots. As with the sculpture they need to be dried out before kilning. Then I glaze, and re-kiln them. I'm really enjoying seeing the intense heat work it's magic on the glazes as I experiment with different colours. So far I have made individual bowls and vases, but I am hoping to be a bit more adventurous in the future.
